Sign-ups are now open on AO3 until 27 July at 22:00 UTC (countdown).

Before you sign up, here’s a summary of what your sign-up will include:

You must make a minimum of 2 requests, but you are able to make up to 10. Fandoms may not be repeated between requests. For each request, you may add

1 fandom (required);
1 - 20 relationship tags (required);
Request details (optional), for details such as prompts, likes, and DNWs. Authors are required to respect their recipients’ DNWs, but they can only be enforced if indicated in your sign-up;
Prompt URL (optional), linking to any further information about your requests, such as a ‘Dear Author’ letter.

You must also make a minimum of 2 offers, but you are able to make up to 10. Fandoms may not be repeated between offers. For each offer, you may add

Before I can move forward with this tag, I’d like to get a little more clarity on how it might be used. What sort of fic would you be likely to request and/or write using this tag? Crossover Fandom

Any Antagonist (Any Austen Book) & Any Other Antagonist (Any Other Austen Book)

This is a delightful idea in the vein of our ever-popular Any Hero and Any Heroine tags, but I want to be sure that the scope of the term ‘antagonist’ is clear.

It seems likely to me that characters like General Tilney from Northanger Abbey, George Wickham from Pride and Prejudice, and Mrs Norris from Mansfield Park would be included. Is that correct? What about characters like Fanny Dashwood from Sense and Sensibility, Frank Churchill from Emma, or Elizabeth Elliot from Persuasion? What about Fitzwilliam Darcy from Pride and Prejudice or Jane Fairfax from Emma? You don’t need to provide an absolute verdict for each of these characters individually (though you are welcome to), but I would like to get a sense for how broadly you feel comfortable defining this term.

Depending on the answers I receive, I may wish to discuss alternative wording for this tag to ensure that all participants have compatible understandings of its meaning. If I do not receive a response by 22:00 UTC on July 11, I will accept the tag as is; in this case, I will take a broad interpretation of the tag should questions of its meaning arise.

Other interested parties are welcome to provide insight into how they might use the tag; however, if you choose to comment, please indicate if you are or are not the original nominator.
