Authors are now revealed at the collection. Although this year’s round has officially ended, the collection will remain open indefinitely for late treats.

Finally, thank you again for helping this tiny exchange run so smoothly! Assuming interest on your part and no radical changes to my own schedule on mine, I’d be happy to run a second round in 2023. If you have any feedback regarding the exchange, you are welcome to comment on this post or email me at austenian@gmx.net.

The collection is now open for you to read, comment, and kudos to your heart’s content. Please enjoy, and remember to leave a comment for your writer when you’re able.

If your gift does not include a requested character or relationship, contains a DNW, or appears incomplete, please contact me as soon as possible at austenian@gmx.net.

Works will remain anonymous until 8 October (countdown). The collection remains open for late treats.

All assignments are in, which means that the collection is on track to open as scheduled on 1 October at 08:00 UTC (countdown).

Thanks again to everyone who’s made this possible and best of luck to anyone still revising or working on treats!

The deadline has passed, and I’m pleased to write that there are no current pinch hits. Thank you and congratulations! This achievement is all yours. If you are still awaiting a gift, your writer has been granted an extension, and it will be in before 26 September.

If you fancy treating a fellow participant before reveals, feel free to browse the requests app. Like assignments, treats must be complete works in a requested fandom and include a requested character or relationship within that fandom, but there is no minimum word count.

As extension deadlines arrive and I spot-check works for completion, pinch hits may arise in the coming days. Please continue to watch your inboxes for any queries and the comm for any updates.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, I can be reached at austenian@gmx.net.

As a reminder, the assignment deadline is one week from today, on 23 September at 22:00 UTC (countdown).

If you need an extra day or two to finish your assignment, you may request an extension by contacting me at austenian@gmx.net. All requests for extensions of up to 48 hours (i.e., at or before 22:00 UTC on 25 September) will be granted, but I do need to be notified prior to the original deadline.

Thank you, and happy writing!

Assignments are now out and viewable on your assignments page, via the AO3 collection sidebar, and in your email.

Remember that works will remain anonymous until author reveals on 8 October. Until then, please refrain from talking about your assignment in a way that might reveal your identity.

There are no pinch hits at this time. Any that arise during the writing period or at the deadline will be posted to the community.

Assignments are due on 23 September by 22:00 UTC (countdown). If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me at austenian@gmx.net.

Sign-ups are now closed. As everyone is matchable, participants can expect to receive their assignments within the next day barring unexpected trouble. You’ll hear from me once more after assignments have been sent; if there are any initial pinch hits, they will be shared at that time.

Thanks to all who signed up!

As a reminder, the sign-up period ends at 22:00 UTC on 10 August (countdown), a little more than 24 hours from time of posting.

Until then, you can sign up or edit an existing sign-up on AO3 through this link.

If you have a moment to spare, consider browsing requests to confirm your matchability, as we’re a rather tiny group. If you haven’t the time, no worries; once matching has been run, you’ll get an email to let you know if you need to add offers.

Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations over the past week. Now that nominations have closed, I’d like to request clarification on one last nomination under ‘Crossover Fandom’.

  • Harriet Musgrove (P - JA)/Tom Bertram (MP - JA)

I’m not able to recall a Harriet in Persuasion—might you mean Henrietta Musgrove instead? If Harriet is correct, could you please provide a citation (e.g., chapter number) where I might find her? Whatever the case, please let me know with a comment on this post by 23:00 UTC on 1 August, a little more than 24 hours from time of posting. If I don’t hear back by that time, I will approve the tag as ‘Tom Bertram (MP - JA)/Henrietta Musgrove (P - JA)’.

Anyone with last-minute additions to the tagset may also request them in the comments of this post until 1 August at 23:00 UTC.

As a reminder, the nominations period ends today at 22:00 UTC (countdown). If you have any final additions, now is the time to submit them to the tagset.

After nominations close, I’ll be confirming that the tagset is free of duplicates and that everything is in its proper place. If you notice anything amiss, please let me know with a comment.

Thanks to everyone who has submitted nominations so far! You all have excellent taste. With the nominations period about halfway through, I'd like to take a moment to clarify the tags currently awaiting approval.

There are currently four nominations under ‘Crossover Fandom’ missing disambiguations:

  • Fitzwilliam Darcy & Henry Tilney
  • Fitzwilliam Darcy/Henry Tilney
  • Frederick Wentworth/Colonel Brandon
  • George Knightley/Fitzwilliam Darcy

Before I can approve these nominations, I’d like to confirm which versions of these canons you’re interested in. If you nominated any of these relationships, please leave a comment on this post indicating your preference or edit your nominations to include the appropriate disambiguations.

If the nominator(s) do not respond to this query or edit their nominations by 22:00 UTC on 28 July, a little over 24 hours from time of posting, any outstanding nominations will be approved as being for the novels.

Nominations will remain open here until 22:00 UTC on 31 July. Thank you!

Nominations are now open at the tagset until 31 July at 22:00 UTC (countdown).

Here are some quick reminders before you nominate:

  • Nominate fandoms using canonicals where possible. Do not use All Media Types or Related Fandoms.
  • Nominate relationships as ‘Character A/Character B (Fandom)’ for ship fic and ‘Character A & Character B (Fandom)’ for gen, alphabetised by surname. Groups of three or more characters may be nominated in the same style.
  • Nominate individual characters as ‘Solo: Character A (Fandom)’.
  • Nominate crossovers under the ‘Crossover Fandom’ umbrella fandom. Disambiguate characters individually [e.g., ‘Edmund Bertram (MP - Austen)/Colonel Brandon (S&S - Austen)’].
  • Disambiguate your nominations to make it clear what canon you’re interested in. Think ‘P&P - Austen’ and ‘P&P 1940’ rather than ‘P&P’.
You can read more about nominations and eligibility in the rules post. As always, feel free to leave a comment or email austenian@gmx.net with any questions.
